पूर्वं पीतो यदा देवि समुद्रः कुम्भजन्मना । तदा कोपेन सन्तप्तो वरुणः सरितां पतिः
pūrvaṃ pīto yadā devi samudraḥ kumbhajanmanā | tadā kopena santapto varuṇaḥ saritāṃ patiḥ
पूर्वी, हे देवी, कुम्भजन्मा मुनींनी जेव्हा समुद्र पिऊन टाकला, तेव्हा सरितांचा स्वामी वरुण क्रोधाने संतप्त झाला.
