ईश्वर उवाच । आसीत्पुरा महीपालो बृहद्रथ इति श्रुतः । तस्य भार्याऽभवत्साध्वी नाम्ना चेंदुमती प्रिया
īśvara uvāca | āsītpurā mahīpālo bṛhadratha iti śrutaḥ | tasya bhāryā'bhavatsādhvī nāmnā ceṃdumatī priyā
ईश्वर म्हणाले—पूर्वी बृहद्रथ नावाचा प्रसिद्ध महीपाल राजा होता. त्याची इंदुमती नामक प्रिय पत्नी साध्वी व पतिव्रता होती.
