तमात्तं विह्वलं दृष्ट्वा निषीदेत्यब्रुवन्किल । निषादो वंशकर्ता वै तेनाभूत्पृथुविक्रमः
tamāttaṃ vihvalaṃ dṛṣṭvā niṣīdetyabruvankila | niṣādo vaṃśakartā vai tenābhūtpṛthuvikramaḥ
त्याला भयाने थरथर कापत व व्याकुळ पाहून ते म्हणाले—“बस”, असे कथिले जाते. म्हणून तो ‘निषाद’ या नावाने प्रसिद्ध होऊन वंशकर्ता झाला; आणि त्या वंशातून पराक्रमी पृथु उत्पन्न झाला.
