शरणागताच्या रक्षणातून उत्पन्न होणारा परम धर्म जो पाळू इच्छितो—तो जर काम, क्रोध, भय किंवा लोभामुळे शरणागताला त्यागील, तर तो निंद्य आहे.
Samudra (Sāgara), lord of rivers
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Pārvatī
Scene: A didactic tableau: Samudra (or a king-like figure) proclaiming the law of refuge before brāhmaṇas; behind, symbolic figures of Kāma, Krodha, Bhaya, Lobha shown as shadowy tempters being rejected.
Protecting a refuge-seeker is presented as ‘supreme dharma’; abandoning them due to inner vices is a grave moral failure.
Prabhāsakṣetra, where dharma is taught through sacred narrative connected to the ocean and the gods.
No direct ritual is stated; the verse gives an ethical injunction central to dharma.
