प्रेता ऊचुः । याचमानस्य विप्रस्य लिखत्येष धरातले । नोत्तरं पठते किञ्चित्तेनासौ लेखकः स्मृतः
pretā ūcuḥ | yācamānasya viprasya likhatyeṣa dharātale | nottaraṃ paṭhate kiñcittenāsau lekhakaḥ smṛtaḥ
प्रेत म्हणाले—याचना करणाऱ्या ब्राह्मणासमोर हा जमिनीवर लिहितो, पण कोणतेही उत्तर वाचून दाखवत नाही; म्हणून याला ‘लेखक’ म्हणतात.
