आकाशे प्रक्षिपेद्वापि स्थितो वा दक्षिणामुखः । पितॄणां स्थानमाकाशं दक्षिणा चैव दिक्तथा
ākāśe prakṣipedvāpi sthito vā dakṣiṇāmukhaḥ | pitṝṇāṃ sthānamākāśaṃ dakṣiṇā caiva diktathā
आकाशातही अर्घ्य/पिंड अर्पण करावा, किंवा दक्षिणाभिमुख उभे राहूनही द्यावा. पितरांचे स्थान आकाश मानले आहे आणि दक्षिण दिशा देखील त्यांचीच दिशा आहे.
