सर्वेषामेव श्राद्धानां श्रेष्ठं सांवत्सरं स्मृतम् । अहन्यहनि यच्छ्राद्धं नित्यं तत्परिकीर्तितम्
sarveṣāmeva śrāddhānāṃ śreṣṭhaṃ sāṃvatsaraṃ smṛtam | ahanyahani yacchrāddhaṃ nityaṃ tatparikīrtitam
सर्व श्राद्धांमध्ये ‘सांवत्सर’ (वार्षिक) श्राद्ध श्रेष्ठ मानले आहे। आणि जे श्राद्ध दररोज केले जाते, ते ‘नित्य’ असे परिकीर्तित आहे।
