Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 23

प्रियपुत्रैश्चातकैश्च शुकैरन्यैर्विहंगमैः । श्रोत्ररम्यं सुमधुरं कूज द्भिश्चाप्यधिष्ठितैः

Transliteration

priyaputraiścātakaiśca śukairanyairvihaṃgamaiḥ | śrotraramyaṃ sumadhuraṃ kūja dbhiścāpyadhiṣṭhitaiḥ

Translation

तो प्रदेश प्रियपुत्र, चातक, शुक (पोपट) व इतर विहंगांनी वसलेला होता; त्यांच्या अतिमधुर, कानांना रम्य कूजनाने तो सतत निनादत असे।
