ददौ प्राचेतसो दक्षो नक्षत्राणीति या विदुः । स तत्प्राप्य मह्द्राज्यं सोमः सोमवतां वरः
dadau prācetaso dakṣo nakṣatrāṇīti yā viduḥ | sa tatprāpya mahdrājyaṃ somaḥ somavatāṃ varaḥ
प्रचेतसपुत्र दक्षाने ज्यांना ‘नक्षत्रे’ म्हणतात त्या त्याला अर्पण केल्या. ते महान राज्य प्राप्त करून सोम—सोमसदृश तेजस्वींमध्ये श्रेष्ठ—आपल्या ऐश्वर्यात समृद्ध झाला।
