कृष्णपक्षे चतुर्दश्यां स्नात्वा यस्तर्पयेत्पितॄन् । तर्पिताः पितरस्तेन यावच्चन्द्रार्कतारकम्
kṛṣṇapakṣe caturdaśyāṃ snātvā yastarpayetpitṝn | tarpitāḥ pitarastena yāvaccandrārkatārakam
कृष्णपक्षातील चतुर्दशीला जो स्नान करून पितरांचे तर्पण करतो, त्याने तृप्त झालेले पितर चंद्र-सूर्य-ताऱ्यांपर्यंत तृप्त राहतात।
