तदा शक्रः सुदुःखार्तो भयोद्विग्नो ननाश वै । तदा तद्भार्यया देवि इन्द्राण्या शोककर्षया
tadā śakraḥ suduḥkhārto bhayodvigno nanāśa vai | tadā tadbhāryayā devi indrāṇyā śokakarṣayā
तेव्हा शक्र (इंद्र) अतिशय दुःखाने व्याकुळ व भयाने हादरून खरोखर पळून गेला; त्या वेळी, हे देवी, त्याची पत्नी इंद्राणी शोकाने ओढली जाऊन (पुढे कृतीस प्रवृत्त झाली)।
