सप्तमीच्या दिवशी तेलाला स्पर्श करू नये, निळे वस्त्र धारण करू नये। आवळ्याने स्नान करू नये आणि कुठेही कलह करू नये।
Skanda (deduced from Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa māhātmya narration style)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: A pilgrim at Prabhāsa on Saptamī stands by the sea/river-edge with folded hands, refusing oil and blue cloth, choosing simple white garments; elders counsel restraint and harmony, with a calm tīrtha atmosphere.
Vrata is not only worship but disciplined conduct—purity in habits, restraint in dress/objects, and peace in speech.
These niyamas are taught within Prabhāsakṣetra-māhātmya, aligning the place’s sanctity with disciplined observance.
Avoid touching oil, avoid wearing blue clothing, avoid āmalaka-bath, and avoid quarrelling on Saptamī.
