pratipadbrāhmaṇāṃścāpi bhojayedvi dhivatsudhīḥ | vāsobhirahataiścāpi gandhamālyānulepanaiḥ

प्रतिपदेच्या दिवशी सुज्ञाने विधिपूर्वक ब्राह्मणांना भोजन घालावे आणि नवे वस्त्र, सुगंध, माळा व चंदनादि लेपन देऊन त्यांचा सत्कार करावा।
