pulastya uvāca | bahudharmamayo rājannarbudaḥ parvatottamaḥ | aśakto vistarādvaktumapi varṣaśatairapi
Pulastya
Tirtha: Arbuda-parvata
Type: peak
Listener: (implied) Naimiṣāraṇya ṛṣis; inner frame: Pulastya speaking to Yayāti
Scene: Pulastya responds that Arbuda, best of mountains, is filled with many dharmas and is too vast to describe fully even in centuries—conveying awe and sacred immensity.
A sacred place can embody vast dharma; its māhātmya is considered inexhaustible, encouraging humility and devotion.
Arbuda mountain as an expansive dharma-field containing numerous tīrthas.
None directly; the verse sets the frame that only a concise selection of key tīrthas can be narrated.
