मुद्गल उवाच । अश्रुतैस्तैर्न गच्छेऽहमेतन्मे हृदि निश्चितम् । करिष्येऽहं तपो भूरि पूजयिष्ये महेश्वरम्
mudgala uvāca | aśrutaistairna gacche'hametanme hṛdi niścitam | kariṣye'haṃ tapo bhūri pūjayiṣye maheśvaram
मुद्गल म्हणाला—ते ऐकल्या शिवाय मी जाणार नाही; हा माझ्या हृदयातील दृढ निश्चय आहे. मी फार तप करीन आणि महेश्वर (शिव) यांची पूजा करीन.
