पुरा देवयुगे राजा कलिंगोनाम दानवः । जरामरणहीनोसौ देवानां च भयंकरः
purā devayuge rājā kaliṃgonāma dānavaḥ | jarāmaraṇahīnosau devānāṃ ca bhayaṃkaraḥ
पूर्वीच्या देवयुगात कलिंग नावाचा एक दानवराजा होता. तो जरा-मरणरहित असल्याने देवांनाही भयभीत करणारा झाला.
