न तं विसर्जयामास जरयापि परिप्लुतम् । उत्तंकोऽपि सुशिष्यत्वान्नो वेत्ति पलितं शिरः
na taṃ visarjayāmāsa jarayāpi pariplutam | uttaṃko'pi suśiṣyatvānno vetti palitaṃ śiraḥ
जरीने ग्रासलेला असतानाही त्यांनी त्याला निरोप दिला नाही; आणि उत्तंकही उत्तम शिष्यधर्मामुळे गुरूच्या शिरावरील पांढरे केससुद्धा जाणला नाही।
