एते च वांछते नित्यं तक्षको द्विज कुण्डले । स तथेति समादाय विस्मयोत्फुल्ललोचनः । कौतुकात्पुनरागत्य राजानं वाक्यमब्रवीत्
ete ca vāṃchate nityaṃ takṣako dvija kuṇḍale | sa tatheti samādāya vismayotphullalocanaḥ | kautukātpunarāgatya rājānaṃ vākyamabravīt
“हे द्विजा, तक्षक नागाला या कुंडलांची नेहमीच इच्छा असते.” असे म्हणत ‘तथेति’ म्हणून त्याने ती उचलली; विस्मयाने त्याचे डोळे फुलले. मग कौतुकाने परत येऊन त्याने राजाला हे वचन सांगितले.
