तच्छ्रुत्वा तैः सुरैः सर्वैः शमीगर्भः स तत्क्षणात् । वेष्टितः पावकोऽप्याशु शुकं शप्त्वा विनिर्गतः
tacchrutvā taiḥ suraiḥ sarvaiḥ śamīgarbhaḥ sa tatkṣaṇāt | veṣṭitaḥ pāvako'pyāśu śukaṃ śaptvā vinirgataḥ
हे ऐकून सर्व देवांनी तत्क्षणी शमीच्या गर्भभागाला वेढा घातला. आणि पावक (अग्नी)ही शुकाला शाप देऊन त्वरेने बाहेर आला.
