atha kopaparītāṃgī mahiṣyādharmamāśritā | lakṣmīḥ śaśāpa tāṃ kanyāṃ sapatnīti vicintya ca

Translation

मग क्रोधाने व्यापलेल्या अंगांची लक्ष्मी—ईर्ष्याळ राणीप्रमाणे अधर्माचा आश्रय घेऊन—“ही माझी सपत्नी” असे मानून त्या कन्येला शाप देऊ लागली.
