एवं तस्य व्रतस्थस्य जग्मुर्वर्षशतानि च । तत्र भीतास्ततो देवा ब्रह्मविष्णुपुरःसराः
evaṃ tasya vratasthasya jagmurvarṣaśatāni ca | tatra bhītāstato devā brahmaviṣṇupuraḥsarāḥ
अशा रीतीने व्रतस्थ असताना त्याची शेकडो वर्षे निघून गेली. तेव्हा ब्रह्मा-विष्णूंच्या नेतृत्वाखाली देव त्या तपामुळे भयभीत झाले.
