त्वं वेत्सि शंकरेणैतत्कर्मजालं न विंदितम् । त्रैलोक्येऽपि मयाऽप्यस्ति गूढं तत्स्यात्कथं विधे । यत्किञ्चित्त्रिषु लोकेषु जंगमं स्थावरं तथा । तस्याहं मध्यगो मूढ तैलं यद्वत्तिलांतगम्
tvaṃ vetsi śaṃkareṇaitatkarmajālaṃ na viṃditam | trailokye'pi mayā'pyasti gūḍhaṃ tatsyātkathaṃ vidhe | yatkiñcittriṣu lokeṣu jaṃgamaṃ sthāvaraṃ tathā | tasyāhaṃ madhyago mūḍha tailaṃ yadvattilāṃtagam
तू म्हणतोस ‘मला माहीत आहे’; पण हे कर्मजाळ शंकरालाही कळलेले नाही. त्रैलोक्यात माझ्याही दृष्टीस काही गूढ असते—मग, हे विधाता, सर्व कसे जाणता येईल? तीन लोकांत जे काही जंगम-स्थावर आहे, त्याच्या मध्यभागी मी स्थित आहे—जसा तिळात लपलेला तेल, हे मूढा!
