ततस्ते ब्राह्मणास्तत्र संहृष्टा वरमुत्तमम् । ददुस्तस्य स च प्राह मन्नामैतत्पुरोत्तमम् । सदैव ख्यातिमायातु एतन्मे हृदि वांछितम्
tataste brāhmaṇāstatra saṃhṛṣṭā varamuttamam | dadustasya sa ca prāha mannāmaitatpurottamam | sadaiva khyātimāyātu etanme hṛdi vāṃchitam
मग तेथील ब्राह्मण अत्यंत आनंदित होऊन त्याला उत्तम वर देऊ लागले. तो म्हणाला—“हे श्रेष्ठ नगर माझ्या नावाने प्रसिद्ध होवो; याला सदैव कीर्ती लाभो—हीच माझ्या हृदयाची इच्छा आहे.”
