अथाषाढस्य संप्राप्ते द्वितीयादिवसे शुभे । कृष्णपक्षे सहस्राक्षं स्वयमेव बृहस्पतिः । प्रोवाच वचनं श्लक्ष्णं बाष्पव्याकुल लोचनम्
athāṣāḍhasya saṃprāpte dvitīyādivase śubhe | kṛṣṇapakṣe sahasrākṣaṃ svayameva bṛhaspatiḥ | provāca vacanaṃ ślakṣṇaṃ bāṣpavyākula locanam
नंतर आषाढ मासाच्या कृष्णपक्षातील शुभ द्वितीया तिथी येताच, अश्रूंनी व्याकुळ नेत्र असलेल्या बृहस्पतीने स्वतः सहस्राक्ष (इंद्र) यास कोमल वचन सांगितले।
