मधूक तव पुष्पेण दयितायाः समौ शुभौ । कपोलौ पांडुरच्छायौ दृष्ट्वा त्वां स्मृतिमागतौ
madhūka tava puṣpeṇa dayitāyāḥ samau śubhau | kapolau pāṃḍuracchāyau dṛṣṭvā tvāṃ smṛtimāgatau
हे मधूक वृक्षा! तुझ्या पुष्पामुळे माझ्या प्रियेसचे दोन शुभ कपोल—पांढुरक्या छटेचे, मनोहर—स्मरणात येतात; तुला पाहताच ती स्मृती पुन्हा जागी झाली।
