चर्मकारेण संजज्ञे नटश्चांत्यजसंज्ञकः । चत्वारः क्षेत्रसंभूता एते क्षेत्रे द्विजन्मनाम्
carmakāreṇa saṃjajñe naṭaścāṃtyajasaṃjñakaḥ | catvāraḥ kṣetrasaṃbhūtā ete kṣetre dvijanmanām
चर्मकारापासून ‘नट’ उत्पन्न झाला, जो ‘अंत्यज’ म्हणून ओळखला जातो. हे चौघे ‘क्षेत्र’जन्य मानले गेले आहेत—द्विजांच्या क्षेत्रात।
