ततो मध्यं गते सूर्ये काले कुतपसंज्ञिते । स्नातः शुक्लांबरधरः सन्तर्प्य पितृदेवताः । सन्तुष्टांश्च समाहूतांस्तान्विप्राञ्छ्राद्धमाचरेत्
tato madhyaṃ gate sūrye kāle kutapasaṃjñite | snātaḥ śuklāṃbaradharaḥ santarpya pitṛdevatāḥ | santuṣṭāṃśca samāhūtāṃstānviprāñchrāddhamācaret
नंतर सूर्य मध्याह्नी येता—कुतपकाळी—स्नान करून शुभ्र वस्त्रे धारण करावीत; पितृदेवतांना तर्पण देऊन तृप्त करावे; आणि प्रसन्न होऊन जमलेल्या निमंत्रित ब्राह्मणांसह श्राद्ध करावे।
