प्रष्टव्या च ततो माता तस्याश्चापि च या भवेत् । जननी चापि प्रष्टव्या तस्याश्चापि च या भवेत्
praṣṭavyā ca tato mātā tasyāścāpi ca yā bhavet | jananī cāpi praṣṭavyā tasyāścāpi ca yā bhavet
मग तिच्या मातेस विचारावे, तसेच तिच्या मातेची माता (नानी) हिलाही। अशाच रीतीने मातृपरंपरेतील पूर्वज मातृकांनाही विचारून मातृवंशाची नीट परीक्षा करावी।
