पर्वतानां यथा मेरुर्द्विपदानां द्विजोत्तमः । स्थानजानां तु विप्राणां श्रेष्ठोऽष्टकुलिकस्तथा
parvatānāṃ yathā merurdvipadānāṃ dvijottamaḥ | sthānajānāṃ tu viprāṇāṃ śreṣṭho'ṣṭakulikastathā
जसे पर्वतांमध्ये मेरू सर्वोत्तम आणि द्विपदांमध्ये द्विजोत्तम सर्वोच्च, तसेच त्या स्थानी जन्मलेल्या स्थानज ब्राह्मणांमध्ये अष्टकुलिकही श्रेष्ठ आहे।
