वृक्षाणां च यथाऽश्वत्थो देवतानां यथा हरिः । श्रेष्ठस्थानजविप्राणां तथा चाष्टकुलोद्भवः
vṛkṣāṇāṃ ca yathā'śvattho devatānāṃ yathā hariḥ | śreṣṭhasthānajaviprāṇāṃ tathā cāṣṭakulodbhavaḥ
जसे वृक्षांमध्ये अश्वत्थ श्रेष्ठ आणि देवतांमध्ये हरि, तसेच श्रेष्ठ स्थानिक ब्राह्मणांमध्ये अष्टकुलोद्भव (आठ कुलांतून जन्मलेला) प्रधान मानला जातो।
