औदुम्बरं ततो दण्डं पुलस्त्योऽस्मै समाददे । एणशृंगान्वितं चर्म मन्त्रवद्विजसत्तमाः
audumbaraṃ tato daṇḍaṃ pulastyo'smai samādade | eṇaśṛṃgānvitaṃ carma mantravadvijasattamāḥ
त्यानंतर पुलस्त्य ऋषींनी त्याला औदुंबरकाष्ठाचा दंड दिला; आणि मंत्रोच्चारांसह श्रेष्ठ द्विजांनी शिंगयुक्त मृगचर्मही अर्पण केले।
