सूत उवाच । एवं संशोचते यावदात्मानं परिगर्हयन् । ततस्तु ब्रह्मणा प्रोक्तः स्वयमभ्येत्य भो द्विजाः
sūta uvāca | evaṃ saṃśocate yāvadātmānaṃ parigarhayan | tatastu brahmaṇā proktaḥ svayamabhyetya bho dvijāḥ
सूत म्हणाले: हे ब्राह्मणांनो, जेव्हा तो अशा प्रकारे शोक करत होता आणि स्वतःची निंदा करत होता, तेव्हा ब्रह्मदेवाने स्वतः येऊन त्याला सांगितले.
