वृत्त्यर्थमस्य देवस्य लक्षं होमेऽत्र कल्प्यताम् । लक्षं तु सर्वविप्राणां प्रायश्चित्तविशुद्धये
vṛttyarthamasya devasya lakṣaṃ home'tra kalpyatām | lakṣaṃ tu sarvaviprāṇāṃ prāyaścittaviśuddhaye
या देवतेच्या सेवाव्यवस्थेसाठी येथे होमात एक लक्ष आहुती ठरवाव्यात। तसेच सर्व ब्राह्मणांच्या प्रायश्चित्त-शुद्धीसाठीही तेच एक लक्ष (आहुती) असोत।
