त्यागो गुणो वित्तवतां वित्तं त्यागवतां गुणः । परस्परवियुक्तौ तु वित्त त्यागौ विडम्बनम्
tyāgo guṇo vittavatāṃ vittaṃ tyāgavatāṃ guṇaḥ | parasparaviyuktau tu vitta tyāgau viḍambanam
धनवानांचा खरा गुण त्याग आहे, आणि त्यागी माणसासाठी धनही गुण ठरते। पण धन व दान वेगळे झाले तर संपत्ती आणि वैराग्य—दोन्हीही केवळ विडंबन ठरतात।
