अग्नये स्विष्टकृतैति यावदात्मानमाक्षिपेत् । तावद्धृतः स सूर्येण स्वहस्तेन समंततः
agnaye sviṣṭakṛtaiti yāvadātmānamākṣipet | tāvaddhṛtaḥ sa sūryeṇa svahastena samaṃtataḥ
‘अग्नये स्विष्टकृत् (स्वाहा)’ असे म्हणत तो स्वतःला अग्नीत झोकून देऊ लागला; तेवढ्यात सूर्यदेवांनी आपल्या हाताने सर्व बाजूंनी त्याला आवरले.
