atha śrutvā virūpākṣasteṣāṃ tadvacanaṃ dvijāḥ | pārvatyāḥ pārśvasaṃsthāyā mukhacandraṃ samaikṣayat

त्यांचे वचन ऐकून, हे द्विजांनो, विरूपाक्ष (शिव) यांनी आपल्या बाजूस बसलेल्या पार्वतीच्या चंद्रासारख्या मुखाकडे स्थिर नजरेने पाहिले।
