श्रीभगवानुवाच । एतद्रूपं मया शक्र कृतं तस्य वधाय वै । अवध्यः सर्वभूतानां यतोन्येषां मया हतः
śrībhagavānuvāca | etadrūpaṃ mayā śakra kṛtaṃ tasya vadhāya vai | avadhyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ yatonyeṣāṃ mayā hataḥ
श्रीभगवान म्हणाले—हे शक्र! त्याचा वध करण्यासाठीच मी हे रूप धारण केले; तो सर्व भूतांसाठी अवध्य होता, म्हणून इतरांनी नव्हे—मीच त्याला मारले।
