न तत्त्वज्ञासि गिरिजे नाहं निंदापरस्तव । चाटूक्तिबुद्ध्या कृतवांस्त वाहं नर्मकीर्तनम्
na tattvajñāsi girije nāhaṃ niṃdāparastava | cāṭūktibuddhyā kṛtavāṃsta vāhaṃ narmakīrtanam
हे गिरिजे, तुला तत्त्व कळले नाही; आणि मी तुझी निंदा करणारा नाही. केवळ चाटूक्तीच्या क्रीडाबुद्धीने मी ते परिहासाचे शब्द उच्चारले.
