tataḥ sā dānaveṃdrasya śailamāyā nyavartata | nivṛttaśailamāyo'tha dānaveṃdro madotkaṭaḥ
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta), narrating to the sages (deduced)
Scene: The mountain-form illusion collapses back into the daitya’s original stature; dust settles, waters still flow, and the daitya-king stands glaring—swollen with pride—preparing another transformation.
When one mask of delusion falls, pride can quickly adopt another; vigilance is required until ego is truly subdued.
