ततः खड्गेन च शिरश्छेत्तुमैच्छदमर्षणः । ततः कलकलो जज्ञे देवानां सुमहांस्तदा । कुजंभस्य वशं प्राप्तं दृष्ट्वा निरृतिमाहवे
tataḥ khaḍgena ca śiraśchettumaicchadamarṣaṇaḥ | tataḥ kalakalo jajñe devānāṃ sumahāṃstadā | kujaṃbhasya vaśaṃ prāptaṃ dṛṣṭvā nirṛtimāhave
मग क्रोधाने भरलेल्याने खड्गाने त्याचे शिर छेदावे असे ठरविले. तेव्हा देवांमध्ये मोठा कलकलाट उठला, कारण रणात निरृति कुजंभाच्या वश झालेला दिसला.
