kṣetrapūrvottarebhāge taddṛṣṭaṃ paśupāśahṛt | tatpaścādvigrahavatī pūjyā vārāṇasī naraiḥ

क्षेत्राच्या ईशान (पूर्वोत्तर) भागात ‘पशुपाशहृत्’ हे पावन दर्शन आहे; ते देहधाऱ्यांचे बंधन हरते. त्यानंतर ‘विग्रहवती’ देवी पूज्य आहे; अशा तीर्थांनी वाराणसीची पूजा करावी.
