स्कंद उवाच । सत्यमेतत्त्वया पृच्छि कथयामि मुने शृणु । तस्य व्यासस्य चरितं भविष्यं त्वयि पृच्छति
skaṃda uvāca | satyametattvayā pṛcchi kathayāmi mune śṛṇu | tasya vyāsasya caritaṃ bhaviṣyaṃ tvayi pṛcchati
स्कंद म्हणाले—तू विचारलेले सत्य आणि योग्य आहे. हे मुने, ऐक—मी सांगतो; तुझ्या प्रश्नानुसार व्यासांचे चरित्र वर्णन करीन।
