tayātha prārthitā gaurī garbhiṇyā bhaktitoṣitā | putraṃ dehi mahāmāye sākṣādviṣṇvaṃśasaṃbhavam

मग त्या गर्भवती स्त्रीने भक्तीने तुष्ट झालेल्या गौरीची प्रार्थना केली—‘हे महामाये! विष्णुवंशसम्भव असा साक्षात् पुत्र मला दे।’
