दुर्गो नाम मदादैत्यो रुरु दैत्यांगजोभवत् । यश्च तप्त्वा तपस्तीव्रं पुंभ्योजेयत्वमाप्तवान्
durgo nāma madādaityo ruru daityāṃgajobhavat | yaśca taptvā tapastīvraṃ puṃbhyojeyatvamāptavān
रुरु दैत्याच्या वंशात “दुर्ग” नावाचा एक महादैत्य उत्पन्न झाला; त्याने तीव्र तप करून पुरुषांकडून अजेयत्व प्राप्त केले।
