श्रुतिभिः परिपठ्येते सिताऽसित सरिद्वरे । तत्राप्लुतां गाह्यमृतं भवंतीति विनिश्चितम्
śrutibhiḥ paripaṭhyete sitā'sita saridvare | tatrāplutāṃ gāhyamṛtaṃ bhavaṃtīti viniścitam
श्रुती स्वतः त्या श्रेष्ठ नद्यांना ‘श्वेता’ व ‘श्यामा’ असे म्हणतात. तेथे स्नान करणारे अमृततुल्य अमरत्व प्राप्त करतात, असा निश्चय आहे.
