अगस्तिरुवाच । मातर्नमामि कमले कमलायताक्षि श्रीविष्णुहृत्कमलवासिनि विश्वमातः । क्षीरोदजे कमलकोमलगर्भ गौरि लक्ष्मि प्रसीद सततं नमतां शरण्ये

अगस्ती म्हणाले—हे माता! हे कमले, कमलनयने! श्रीविष्णूच्या हृदयकमळात वास करणारी विश्वमाते! क्षीरसागरातून उत्पन्न, कमळासारख्या कोमल गर्भाची गौरि लक्ष्मी! नतमस्तकांची शरण्ये, सदैव प्रसन्न हो।
