एकतः सर्वदानानि दीपदानं तथैकतः । कार्तिके दीपदानस्य कलां नार्हंति षोडशीम्
ekataḥ sarvadānāni dīpadānaṃ tathaikataḥ | kārtike dīpadānasya kalāṃ nārhaṃti ṣoḍaśīm
एका बाजूला सर्व दाने, आणि दुसऱ्या बाजूला दीपदान. कार्तिकात दीपदानाच्या पुण्याच्या सोळाव्या अंशालाही इतर दाने समकक्ष ठरत नाहीत.
