Transliteration

āmauliṃ vā'lalāṭaṃvā'nāsamūrdhvapramāṇataḥ | brahmakṣatraviśāṃ daṃḍastvagāḍhyonāgnidūṣitaḥ

Translation

दंडाचे प्रमाण शिरोमौलीपर्यंत, किंवा ललाटापर्यंत, अथवा किमान नाकाच्या वरच्या भागापर्यंत असावे। ब्राह्मण-क्षत्रिय-वैश्यांचा दंड दृढ व जाड असावा आणि अग्नीने दूषित (झळकलेला/जळलेला) नसावा।
