उत्तमानुत्तमानेव गच्छन्हीनांश्च वर्जयन् । ब्राह्मणः श्रेष्ठतामेति प्रत्यवाये न शूद्रताम्
uttamānuttamāneva gacchanhīnāṃśca varjayan | brāhmaṇaḥ śreṣṭhatāmeti pratyavāye na śūdratām
उत्तम व अतिउत्तमांचीच संगत धरून आणि हीनांचा त्याग करून ब्राह्मण श्रेष्ठता प्राप्त करतो; पण विपरीत आचरणाने तो उन्नत होत नाही, अधोगतीला जातो।
