न वर्षंति यदाभ्राणि न प्रावर्तंत निम्रगाः । जलाभिलाषो न यदा स्नानपानादि कर्मणि
na varṣaṃti yadābhrāṇi na prāvartaṃta nimragāḥ | jalābhilāṣo na yadā snānapānādi karmaṇi
जेव्हा मेघ वर्षा करीत नाहीत आणि नद्या वाहेनाशा होतात—स्नान, पान इत्यादी कर्मांसाठीही जलाची इच्छा उरत नाही—तेव्हा जगत् मोठ्या क्लेशात पडते।
